Turmeric Liquid 14.401

Turmeric Liquid 14.401 is a dark yellow liquid or gel, produced by extraction of pigments from the turmeric root (Curcuma longa L.). The pigments are dispersed in an aqueous solution of sugar and vegetable hydrocolloid. The major colouring principle is curcumin (E100,  C.I. 75300).

  • Function / Dosage: Water dispersible food colour ideal for use in beverages, extruded products, fruit preparations, confectionery and many other products, can be used in products where stability at low pH and non-migrating properties are important. Light orange-yellow to dark orange-yellow in the final product, depending on the food product, processing and the quantity used. In water-based dispersions the colour will add a fruity appearance due to the cloudifying effect of the colour. Strength curcumin, max 9.5-10. 5 %
  • Specific Gravity: 1.15 to 1.45
  • Ingredients: Curcumin (E 100, C.I. 75300), water, sugar, vegetable hydrocolloid, citric acid (E 330), sodium benzoate (E 211).
  • Country: Manufactured in Denmark. Packed in Australia.
  • Packaging: 1kg and 5kg tamper evident, polyethylene containers.
  • Shelf Life: Protect from exposure to air and light. Keep the product cool (4-8°C). Do not freeze. Please note that the product is susceptible to microbial attack after opening of the container. It is recommended that the product should only be handled in a clean environment. Prolonged exposure to the atmosphere, before addition to the food product, should be avoided. Shelf life is minimum 12 months in unopened containers.
  • Regulations: This product is manufactured from colours conforming to FAO/WHO JECFA specifications. It shall, at the time of delivery, conform in every respect to the provisions of the Australia/NZ food standards and regulations made thereunder. AFIS does not use genetically modified organisms for the manufacture of their products and to the best of our knowledge, the above product is manufactured from raw materials that have not been genetically modified. This product does not require labelling as a genetically modified food in accordance with FSANZ 1.5.2.
